EcoTree exercise

Nov 04, 2009 - 15:58 - Tanya Dewey

An EcoTree exercise developed by Karen Francl for use in her Radford University, Biology 105 course, an introductory course in biodiversity. Students investigate a set of life history characteristics at a variety of taxonomic levels and build an ecologically-based cladogram. This exercise uses familiar characteristics to help students understand how phylogenetic trees are constructed.

This exercise is appropriate for introductory courses in diversity, zoology, ecology, biology, evolution, or wildlife management.
