Caption
An Inca Dove (Columbina inca) sings his "Oh No" in a residential area of Clarkdale [Arizona]. This is a resident population which is 100 miles north of their normal range. You see lots of them in the lower deserts, but almost never see them up here (500 ft/1067 meters elevation). This flock contains 10 or so individuals, and has lived up here for the last 10 years, maybe more. They're one of those species, like the White Wing Dove and the Javelina which may indicate a gentle warming of the globe.
