Caption
Gadwalls (Anas strepera) talk to each other as the males display by jerking their heads back and raising their chests out of the water while whistling, quacking and squeaking in this sample. Their squeaks sound like a rusty gate to me. These were recorded 10/10/97 at Peck's Lake [Arizona].
