Caption
I recorded these Common Barn Owls (Tyto alba) in mid-August at Peck's Lake [Arizona]. They were sitting about a mile apart at opposite ends of the lake. Does the second sound female and the first male? They both called every 20 seconds, like clockwork, for more than two hours.
