Achatinella, from Hawaii. The Hawaii Islands are remarkable biologically, supporting a great number of endemic species. Mollusks are no exception. For example, two families of land snails, the Achatinellidae and Amastridae, occur in Hawaii and nowhere else. Unfortunately, the Amastridae are now largely or wholly extinct, and the Achatinellidae are largely so.
