Image of: Tiphobia horei

Caption

Tiphobia horei, Lake Tanganyika. Some of the snail fauna of Lake Tanganyika has been an enigma because their shells look like marine snails rather than freshwater snails. Tiphobia horei, with its spines, siphonal canal and general shape is one such species.
